The European Court of Justice (ECJ) has ruled on instruments for international data transfers in a landmark judgment (judgment of July 16, 2020, Case C-311/18- “Schrems II”). It has declared the so-called EU Privacy Shield (Decision 2016/1250 – “Privacy Shield”) invalid.
We are therefore particularly pleased that we were able to secure Mr. colleague Max Schrems – the plaintiff of this ruling – as a keynote speaker, and thus provide our clients with first-hand information and background.
Agenda:
- Introduction and background of facebook / Schrems II ruling
- Live interview with attorney Max Schrems
- Q&A: Your questions – directly to the speaker
- Conclusion: Consequences for practice – checklist for this purpose
